So far this year’s version of the Galaxy seems to be off to a decent start; I’m sure there are plenty of teams who would like to be 4-1-3 with 15 points.
From looking at the MLS West standings, it’s a wide open race as six of the conference’s ten teams, including our Galaxy, are within three points of each other.
It’s a long season, a 34-game schedule played over the next five months with the finale on October 23rd vs FC Dallas.
So I don’t think it would be prudent to make any proclamations as to how far this team will go, except to say that with the parity that the Western Conference seems to have, this Galaxy club has as good a chance as any to represent the West in the MLS Cup in early December.
We at SoCal Sports Annals have plans to do a “Day At StubHub Center” sometime between June and the end of the season in October, detailing what it’s like be at that venue and the experience of a Galaxy match, complete with their “Angel City Brigade” fan support group, so watch for it!
